Cliento is a client manager and document portal for businesses. This page explains, in plain words, what information passes through Cliento and how we treat it.

What we collect

We hold three kinds of information:

  • Business account details. The name, email address and password of each person your business invites. Passwords are stored in a scrambled form that we cannot read back.
  • Client records and documents. The details your business enters and the files clients upload through the portal. What goes in is decided by your business, not by us.
  • Demo request details. If you fill in the form on our landing page, we keep the name and contact details you give us so we can reply.

Why we collect it

To run the service. We use this information to operate your CRM, store your clients' documents, send the emails you ask Cliento to send, and reply to demo requests. That is the whole list.

Where it lives

Your data lives in the application's own servers and database, hosted with our infrastructure provider. Uploaded documents are never served from a public folder; every download checks who is asking first.

Who can see it

A client's records are visible to the business that manages them, and to nobody else. Cliento staff can look at a business's data only when it is needed to provide support, and that access is recorded.

Retention and deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, or write to us and ask, we delete it. Clients can ask their business to remove their records, and the business can do that from inside Cliento.

What we never do

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not use your clients' documents for anything except showing them to your business.
